چکیده
In this work naphtha is exposed to ultraviolet rays under various conditions namely; UV exposureonly, exposure with cooling, cooling and catalyst, Cooling,Catalyst Oxidant O2 Catalyst investigate the bondscracking process (Photo-degradation or photolysis reactions) its effect on octane numberwhere several bonds are be broken due absorption high energy of radiation. It expectedthat number should changed as a result Photo-degradation effect. Samples areprepared treated in Reactor unit prevailing pressure (elevatedpressure). No systematic change noticed but either decreasesor remains constant. Another technique which cell used. prepared inthe atmosphere pressure. Three different behaviors octanenumber resulted (decreasing, no increasing). Maximum decreasing is(-11 unit) occurred when & TiO2 catalyst ,while maximum increasing (5.6 ZnOcatalyst (2.1 ml/min) feeding unit. order understand behavior Gaschromatography Mass Spectrometry (GCMS) tests conducted for some samples before afterUV study changes chemical composition specially inpercentage compounds that affect such as: Benzene, Toluene, Isooctane Pxylene. It percentages these increased anddecreased others. Also Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) thesesamples after find eliminated created functional groupsof bonds.

Kinetic modeling on photo oxidative degradation of C.I acid yellow 23 by UV/H_2 O_2 process
The kinetic of photo oxidative decolorization of C.I. Acid yellow 23 (AY23) was investigated in UV/ process. The semi-logarithmic of the concentrations of AY23 versus irradiation time were linear, suggesting pseudo-first order reaction. A simple kinetic model is proposed which confirms pseudo- first order reaction. The results indicate that the apparent reaction rate constant is a function of l...
متن کاملOptimization of Semiregenerative Catalytic Naphtha Reforming Unit to Enhance Octane Number and Reformate Yield
Catalytic naphtha reforming is one of the most important processes in which, low quality naphtha is converted into high octane motor gasoline. In this study, a mathematical model was developed and was used for investigation the effect of temperature, pressure, hydrogen to hydrocarbon ratio on the octane number, the yield of product and the undesirable phenomena of coke deposition in a semiregen...

متن کاملThe effect of UV-radiation on photo-oxidants and formaldehyde in the atmosphere
The annual cycle of formaldehyde (HCHO) has been investigated at a remote surface-site in Antarctica. HCHO mixing-ratios during the period of stratospheric ozone depletion are significantly higher than during times of similar sunshine duration in austral autumn. This might be due to enhanced UV-B radiation.
متن کاملPhotocatalytic Degradation of an Anionic Surfactant by Tio2 Nanoparticle under UV Radiation in Aqueous Solutions
In this paper the photocatalytic degradation of the anionic surfactant, linear alkylbenzene sulfonicacid (LABSA) was investigated using UV radiation in the presence of TiO2. Our findingsdemonstrate that various parameters exert their individual influence on the photocatalytic degradationof surfactant in wastewaters. The mentioned parameters have been categorized as follow: the initialpH of the ...
